You have your invention which fulfils and unmet need. What does it take to turn your invention into an innovative product or service? You need customers who want your product, and are willing to pay a sufficient price for the product so you can make a profit. Before they ‘need’ or ‘want’ your product, they need to know about it – and that needs marketing.

Marketing is the action of promoting and selling your product. It includes market research, advertising, pricing and customer service. It is the process of educating customers on WHY they should choose your product over the competition or if there is no competition, why they should want your product and what is the unmet need you are fulfilling. Marketing is EVERYTHING a customer encounters when they come to your business.

Neelima will cover different aspects of marketing to develop a ‘go-to-market’ strategy for a product in the bioscience industry.
